In 2016 our charity is delighted to expand on the Welsh Government Strategy to raise awareness of Autism in towns, cities and local communities across Wales by creating ‘Autism Champions’ in consumer and retail industries.
Our fun interactive workshops are run and hosted by individuals and parents living with Autism and offer organisations and businesses of all shapes and sizes an opportunity to engage in continued professional development that will enhance the day to day consumer and retail experiences of thousands of children, young people and adults living with Autism.

Autism Awareness Worshops
Attended many of the Autism Awareness training workshops put together by AP Cymru as they delivered them to Cardiff Airport staff and can categorically say that they are some of the best sessions I have been a part of. Training can become a tedious process but AP kept the mood light, the sessions interactive as well as very empowering and informative especially given the nature of the content which at times can become very personal and emotional. Every session although held the same information was different which is a credit to the team. Would highly recommend.

AP Cymru School Assembly
We were so lucky that as part of a class topic on hidden disabilities, Karen and the AP team came into our school to do a whole school assembly and class Q & A session. This followed on from a truly informative AP training session for teaching staff. Our School ‘Autism Awareness Day’, corresponded with National Autism Awareness Month, so was the perfect opportunity to increase understanding of Autism within the school and community. The children raised money for the charity by ‘wearing their hair funny’ for AP and various other related activities throughout the day. The AP team kindly donated gift vouchers, Badges and AP Teddy Bears. Also, the children and staff really enjoyed meeting Cwtch the bear and Kat and Donna did a really wonderful assembly on life with Autism. We were even more fortunate that one of the older children at the school, with a diagnosis of Aspergers, used the opportunity to raise awareness of his condition through a fantastic and informative presentation to his class (and Karen and Cwtch) – the children had so many questions to ask. I can not put into words how much the children and community benefited from this visit in which understanding of Autism was certainly heightened and everyone had so much fun!
Thank you AP Cymru!

Autism Awareness Workshops
Having attended a variety of different training sessions working for a large branded company I can honestly say that the training delivered by AP Cymru stands out as one of the best sessions myself and team have attended. The main and most significant difference being the training draws from the personal experiences and real life circumstances that these ladies live and work in. Their infectious personalities put you at ease immediately and I can honestly say my team have never come across so willing to participate in a training session before!! Very worthwhile and such a good cause to support!
